Girls in the Nose, Trace Wiren

June 12, 2015 @ 9:00 pm

8$

Girls in the Nose (GITN) is a punk-tinged rock band of six uncompromising women founded by Kay Turner and Gretchen Phillips in Austin, TX (active 1985-1996) to create activist lesbian, sex- positive music and performance with songs such as ”Bite Me,” ”Breast Exam,” ”Come and Die,” and ” More Madonna, Less Jesus.” After some very successful reunion shows in Austin, the Noses are touring our 30th Anniversary Gay Pride show ”Songs from the Middle Ages.” We still bring the crazy, rude shows that brought many a house down from NYC to Seattle, San Francisco to Chicago and Portland, Michfest to Rhythmfest to SXSW.
Trace Wiren will open the show.
