Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The original Mississippi Pizza trivia event! Grab up to five of your closest (and/or smartest) friends and compete for cash and gift certificate prizes against some of Portland’s best and brightest quiz night stars. Quizissippi blends typical and not-so-typical trivia topics, the infamous Physical Challenge, and Portland’s first and best Multimedia Round. Quizmistress Molly guarantees a good time even if you’re stumped for answers. $2 per person to play.

The Portland Spelling Bee
Are you a word W-I-Z-A-R-D? Come give your orthographical skills a workout on stage at one of Portland’s longest-established nerd-friendly events. Spell words, make friends, drink beer, win prizes. The Portland Youth Spelling Bee
First Saturdays at 1 p.m.
Just like the Scripps National Spelling Bee, only mellower, funnier, and friendlier. Kids ages 5-18 are welcome to take the stage and demonstrate their budding spelling skills. Whether you’re prepping for a school-level Bee or just looking for a chance to demonstrate your word power, you’ll have fun and learn new words at the Youth Spelling Bee. Three levels of difficulty mean everyone has a chance to shine. Free to play!
