Tonight’s show is a fundraiser for the National Network of Abortion Funds and the release of Blair Borax’ single, “While the World Grew Wicked.” Borax is joined by Alexis Mahler. Tickets are $20 with 50% donated to https://abortionfunds.
Blair Borax is a singer-songwriter who writes lyrically-driven folk-pop songs to make sense of this strange and beautiful human experience. “With rich lyrics and a voice like molasses,” poet Juniper Klatt says, “Blair Borax makes music that moves you to the heart of being human, offers you a warm cup of tea, and invites you to stay a while.”
“Alexis Mahler explores her softness through the dark and earthy colors of the cello, a somber strum comforted by delicate lyrics and playful melodies. Her debut EP, Low Moon, innocently reaches for the most tender and heartful listener, while following intricate, moving layers of cello, violin, and distant vocal harmonies that seem to fall exactly where they should.”
