The Blue Nectarines are a collaboration between three singer songwriters writing fresh music influenced by the Motown sound but performed with modern pop sensibilities. Self described indie jazz pop, members of the BlueNectarines have all studied music at various schools around the country including Michigan State, Ithaca College, and PSU. The writing trio of Devin Smith, Alex Mejia and Jeff Chilton met and ironed out their songwriting style every Saturday on the blocks of Park Ave just outside the PSU farmers market. Later they were joined by New Orleans drummer Chris Ingold and PSU’s own Ben Spriggs on keys. The Blue Nectarines are pied-pipers leading you into a dream of easy grooves and good vibes, so come and relax with us, we promise a good time!
