Deborah Brown has performed extensively throughout the world in the finest concert halls and jazz clubs. Originally from Kansas City Missouri, her singing has taken her from New York’s Appel Room in The Lincoln Center to London’s premier clubs, Ronnie Scotts and The Pizza Express. Concert Halls in Amsterdam, Poland and Spain and Isreal just to name a few. Onward to Moscow’s premiere world famous concert halls to Sweden’s Stockholm Concert Hall, Deborah has found appreciative audiences around the world. Recording over twenty five records and cds in her name, she started with trombonist, Slide Hampton in the early 80’s and hasn’t looked back. Recording with Johnny Griffin, fastest saxophonist in his era and was a mentor. Benny Bailey on trumpet, Horace Parlan on piano with Ed Thigpen on drums, Red Mitchell bassist, they all supported and passed along invaluable lessons in the jazz idiom. She has performed with jazz greats such as, Jimmy Heath, Rufus Reid, Roy Hargrove, Clark Terry, Idress Muhammed, Jan Lundgren, Terell Stafford, Kenny Drew and his son, Kenny Drew Junior, Rob Bargad, Joe Beck, Michael Weiss, Archie Shepp, Roger Kellaway, Dorothy Donegan and so many more. She works with up and coming vocal students giving workshops around the world and has taught in conservatories and universities throughout the world. Mrs. Brown has dedicated her energies to performing and sharing her skills with great success and for many years. Hoping to continue, she always invites the audience to just enjoy the music.
