Joytribe

JoyTribe infuses their funk with rock, reggae, latin, jazz and even a little two-step thrown in. The band just released their first 6 song EP, We Insist, which showcases their diverse, positive and fun songwriting, as well as an adapted version of In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel.
JoyTribe has been packing houses in Portland and surrounding areas, as well as opening for Dumpstaphunk, Balkan Beat Box, Afrolicious, Kung Fu, Marbin, and SuperSonic Soul Pimps. They have managed to captivate listeners of all ages with a tight, passionate show led by singer/saxophonist Chelsea Luker.
Sonic influences come from Prince, Greyboy Allstars, Pink Floyd, Hiatus Kaiyote and Snarky Puppy.
