Cosmonautical is a band from Bend making their debut at Mississippi Pizza Pub.

Cosmonautical is a band out of Bend Oregon consisting of Songwriter/guitarist David von Schlegell, Guitarist Jaren Brown, Bassist Mackenzie Hatfield, and Drummer Paterson Colson. Colson and Hatfield create innovative and driving rhythms while von Schlegell and Brown weave their guitars and the band alternates between shoe gaze, classic rock, roots, new wave, elements of punk and thrash as well as more traditional Rock n Roll. Paterson hails from Colorado originally and cut his teeth playing garage rock as a teenager and later championing the local stoner metal scene in central Oregon with his band Strange Rover. Hatfield has studied music his entire life and is a central Oregon native who has played in several central Oregon Bands ranging from reggae to metal-core. Jaren Brown, also a Central Oregon native, grew up weened on the sounds of Angus Young, Jimmy Page, and Hendrix and later found ownership in the heavy and elegant guitar work of bands like Incubus, Hum, Rush, and Royal Blood. David von Schlegell grew up in Portland Oregon and moved to Bend in May of 2014. His focus is on strong vocal melodies with an emphasis on lyrics and ideas while his guitar playing is inspired by mainstream and underground acts of the 80s and 90s .
