Silvertongue, The Eldest Young, Death Boogie

March 1 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Silvertongue: Originally formed in Massachusetts by front man Andrew Stevens, guitarist Jake Hogan, and bassist Dorian Taylor, the band relocated to Portland, Oregon where they found the missing pieces to their puzzle—keyboardist, Mel Boell, and drummer, Joe-Henry McQuary.
Silvertongue has developed a reputation in the Pacific Northwest music scene for their high-energy, ultra-dynamic performances and contagious charisma on and off stage. Their sound, rooted in folk, has grown to embrace elements of pop and dance music for a well-rounded catalog of wondrous adventure songs best described as “Garden Indie.”
The Eldest Young is a six-piece band that’s released two full length records (“All The Important Parts” and “Book of Spells”) with a third on the way, titled “Content.” It’s an indie dance-rock album that explores the notion that happiness is often found in simplicity, and that by giving ourselves a break from our technological utopia/dystopia to enjoy a meal, watch the birds, or… say, dance to a Portland-based indie dance-rock band, we can find meaning and joy.
